Been Blog Tagged

I interrupt my mini-series on psychological warfare since I got blog tagged by Aaron.

So apparently the way this works is I tell you five things you didn't know about me. Here goes:

1. I've written two books. The first one is a non-fiction book published by McGraw-Hill on active stock trading. Truthfully, it is a piece of crap that serves only to illustrate that just because you wrote a book published by a fancy publisher does not mean you know what the heck you're talking about. I wrote the book in 2000 -- if I wrote it today it would be good, as I know much more about the topic.

The other book I wrote is a self-published novel, Baby in a Microwave. It's actually two separate stories merged into one: the first part of the story is a black comedy; the second part is a romance tragedy. The first part I like, and while I think the second part is decent, the story is better without it. Several literary agents and publishers showed interest and I thought I was going to get a deal, but ultimately everything fell through because it was believed book would be too hard to market. There are still parts of it that make me cringe, though, just because they reveal mistakes made by first-time fiction authors. I wrote the book in 2001.

2. I used to perform as a singer/songwriter. Here's a link to a collection of 14 of my songs (12 originals, 2 covers). They're more like demo tracks; just vocals and an acoustic guitar. I've got a bunch of other songs written, but haven't gotten around to recording them. All my stuff is CC-BY licensed, so feel free to take it, republish it and put ads around it, remix it and sell it, etc. Just drop a link back and it's all good.

3. I consider Jungian psychology to be my form of spirtuality, and the basis of my belief system. Jungian psychology is at the heart of psychological astrology, particularly the ideas of Liz Greene. For me personally, I believe there is a thing such as fate/destiny, and that happiness and moral responsibility comes from choosing to do that which we must do.

4. I trade currency using technical analysis. I only place a few trades a year; my strategy involves looking for multi-week directional trends (where the price goes primarily in one direction for a few weeks) and trading accordingly.

5. I have spent the past two years working on the ActoCommunity. I'll be blogging more about what that's all about, the theory behind the strategy, why it took me two friggin' years, etc. in the coming weeks. In the mean time, if you know anyone who sells guitars or guitar-related products, tell them they should invest in an ActoCommunity by ActoGuitar.

So there you have it! Five things about me that you probably didn't know.

I'll blog tag AussieWebmaster.

Next post will be back on track and will discuss disinformation in psychological warfare, and the implications of such for your business.
